Like many vacation rental owners, we partnered with a large property management company expecting expert guidance, proactive communication, and strong financial results. Instead, we often felt like just another property in a large, rapidly growing portfolio. While the experience wasn't necessarily bad, and we learned a lot of valuable information, we couldn't shake the feeling that our home wasn't reaching its full potential and our guests were not receiving the attention they deserved.

So we decided to take a leap of faith, and try a different approach.

Drawing on our combined backgrounds in business, real estate, sales/customer service, and information technology, we built our own systems, processes, and automation tools to handle the administrative work behind the scenes. This freed us to focus on the things that truly drive success: maximizing listing performance, building a distinctive brand, creating memorable guest experiences, and providing the kind of responsive, personalized service that earns five-star reviews.

The results exceeded our expectations. We significantly increased bookings, revenue, and guest satisfaction compared to our experience with a traditional property manager. More importantly, we proved that a boutique, owner-focused approach could outperform the high-volume model used by many larger companies.

As our systems evolved, we realized we had created a repeatable model that could help other owners achieve the same success, without sacrificing transparency, flexibility, or personal service. So we founded Don't Stay Home Co-Hosting.
